For the past 25 years, Goleta, Calif.-based artist Gill Isaac Kaufman has been creating custom ceramics. Now Kaufman is selling those works of art through his business, Happy Green Merchant.
Through Happy Green Merchant, Kaufman deals in tomorrow’s heritage by creating lasting vessels, cups, bowls, vases, sculptures, and—his signature work—custom magnets.
“Ceramics is a process—It’s kind of a sacred one in some respects,” Kaufman says. “You’re making something that’s going to be here longer than you’re going to be here.”
